We had pre-assembled most of the front doors on our first weekend. Most because we needed a drill to complete the assembly. Lunch in the blue bag.

But again, something wasn’t right, this time it was even more short for the base. 

Our base was too small. 

We were first told that they thought it was an 8’x8’ greenhouse. Obviously from the cover it is 8’x12’. 

Ironically, the small box with the instructions appeared on the weekend after our first weekend of opening the large boxes. 

“We are a positive school climate.”

So, maintenance expanded the base for a third time. We went from just short of 8’x8’ to 10’x10’ base to a 10’x13’ base. Three approved requisitions for the materials.

Maintenance expanded the base at the back and to the right on site. 

With another planned barbeque lunch, we set out to begin assembly on another Saturday.

This time we had a drill and other tools. Collett did the honours of affixing the first screw. You can also see the second addition to the original base near to her.

Our second day of greenhouse construction, this being a Sunday. 

A weekend was not enough time. 

A second weekend for the roof. Doors planned to go on Monday after school. 

Collett’s husband Kevin. He helped at times throughout the assembly and was the cook too. Snow was on the ground now and temperatures were cold on the hands outside, inside had some warmth to the structure. Wood to prop up the ceiling. This being on the third weekend.
